Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz

Prisoner B-3087 chronicles the true story of Yanek Gruener as he navigates his way through 10 different concentration camps during World War 2.  The story begins right before the Nazi’s invade Poland and follows Yanek, 12, through life in the Jewish Ghetto and then his capture and imprisonment in concentration camps across Europe. 

Content Notes:
This memoir depicts life and death in concentration camps during World War 2.  For this reason, the book would be rated PG-13 if made into a movie.

Teacher Notes:
This book is appropriate for all middle school students.
